JOB OPPORTUNITY
Our laboratory is seeking highly motivated post-doctoral candidates to work on structure and function of ion channels.
The lab projects are interdisciplinary in nature and combine different approaches, including cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), X-ray crystallography, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, kinetic modeling, fluorescent measurements and electrophysiology.
Our lab performs experiments and collects data at the Columbia University Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center, New York Structural Biology Center (NYSBC) and NIH Transformative High Resolution Cryo-EM Program Service Centers (NCCAT, PNCC, S2C2).
Columbia University offers a highly collaborative social and scientific environment as well as a competitive salary and benefits in a beautiful location in the City of New York.
The successful candidate must have a PhD (or being in the process of completing it) in a relevant field with a demonstrated track record of productive research and must be able to work both independently and as a part of a collaborative team. Electron microscopy or electrophysiological experience is desirable but not required.
To apply: send email with CV, list of publications and name of 2-3 referees to Dr. Sobolevsky as4005@cumc.columbia.edu
